NFL Week 3 Odds: San Diego Chargers at Seattle Seahawks

Judging by their first two games, it’s hard to know what kind of teams the San Diego Chargers and the Seattle Seahawks will be. The Chargers were disappointing in a season opening loss to Kansas City, but they bounced back strong with an impressive 38-13 win over Jacksonville last week. Meanwhile, the Seahawks got out of the gate strong with a 31-6 victory over NFC West favorite San Francisco, but they came back down to earth with a blowout loss at Denver in Week 2.

NFL odds makers expect San Diego to be the team to take the bull by the horns this week, listing the Chargers as a 5.5-point favorite with the total set at 44 points.

While I like the energy that Pete Carroll has brought to Seattle, it won’t be parlayed into wins if the Seahawks continue to turn over the football. Last week, the Seahawks committed four blunders, and three of them were Matt Hasselbeck interceptions. Seattle just can’t afford that many miscues from its veteran leader.
