Randy Moss Trade: Why Leaving the Patriots for the Vikings Is the Best Move

Rumors are flying that the New England Patriots are in discussions to trade Randy Moss back to the Minnesota Vikings.
Moss, who originally was drafted by the Vikings in 1998, left the team in 2005 for the Raiders, only to end up in New England after two sub-par years. His career took a turn upward in New England, but he's been vocal about his disappointment over his contract situation with the Patriots.
This is the best move for Moss, who is in the last year of his contract with the Patriots. The Vikings need receivers after losing Sidney Rice to a hip injury until at least Week Six, and Percy Harvin's battle with migraines has severely hampered his effectiveness this year.
Harvin leads the team with 12 catches for 106 yards through three games. When Brett Favre is your quarterback, you expect bigger numbers than that.
Pairing up Moss with Brett Favre, who is in desperate need of a No. 1 receiver, makes perfect sense from the Vikings' standpoint.
