NFL Week 5: Will The Brett Favre Scandal Have Major Consequences

According to reports around the country, the Brett Favre-Jenn Sterger burgeoning scandal is being investigated with considerable fervor by the higher-ups within the National Football League.
NBC's Sunday Night Football openly speculated that even if Favre is found "guilty" of violating the league's personal conduct policy, any type of suspension is far from guaranteed. Unlike Ben Roethlisberger, who was in hot water for an allegations of sexual misconduct back in early 2009, Favre would be a "first time offender."
The question remains: if the allegations against Favre are true, and a suspension isn't going to result from his behavior what type of punishment (if any) could possibly be leveled?
