Week 6 NFL Odds: Kansas City Chiefs 4.5 Point Underdogs to Houston Texans

Week Five was unkind to both the Kansas City Chiefs and the Houston Texans. Kansas City endured its first loss of the season at Indianapolis, and Houston was blown out at home for the second time in three weeks by the New York Giants. 
Despite those two defeats, NFL odds makers expect home field to treat Houston better in Week Six. They have listed the Texans as a 4.5-point favorite with the total set at 44.
The key to defeating the Texans is slowing down their running game, which is something Kansas City just might be able to do. The Chiefs rank sixth in the league in run defense, allowing only 80.5 yards per game on the ground.
While Houston has the fifth-best rushing offense in the NFL, it was held to just 24 rushing yards against the Giants last week.
It is also worth mentioning that we are beginning to see a trend develop. In Houston’s three worst performances of the season, it has been held to 125 or less rushing yards.
