Cleveland-Pittsburgh: Don’t Bury the Browns Just Yet

The Cleveland Browns take on the Pittsburgh Steelers this Sunday in Pittsburgh. They are 14-point underdogs mainly because they will be starting rookie quarterback Colt McCoy. It will be his first game action in the NFL.
With both Seneca Wallace and Jake Delhomme on the shelf with high ankle sprains, most experts think the Browns have no chance. McCoy will be seeing his first action as an NFL quarterback.
What we do know is the Browns defense has played pretty well this year. While Cleveland is 1-4, they have been in every game. If you could take away three interceptions, they could easily be 3-2 or 4-1. Interceptions that weren’t thrown by McCoy.
I’m not saying McCoy is better than Delhomme or Wallace. I’m not sure how he will do. He could surprise a lot of people and give the offense a much-needed spark.
McCoy is accurate, intelligent and mobile. A big key will be if the Browns allow him to get them out of bad plays. If McCoy is given ...
