1. Vernon Davis (vs TB) – Vernon looks rejuvenated after the 49ers bye back in Week 9.  With Troy Smith able to move around in the pocket as well as he does, Vernon has more time to get open against what are usually slower linebackers covering him.  Look for the ‘Niners to continue getting their big-play tight end more involved as they make a run to win a weak NFC West division.
 
2. Jacob Tamme (@ NE) – The fact is, in games against the Patriots, Dallas Clark never posted very good numbers.  Belichick knows that Peyton likes to work through his tight end, so he’s always made an effort to clamp down on them in the past.  However, this isn’t the same dominating Pats D of the past either, so Tamme will still see his targets, and possibly the end zone this weekend.
