Buffalo Bills Promote Ex-UB Wide Receiver Naaman Roosevelt To Active Roster

With several open roster spots becoming available due to some new additions to the season-ending I.R. list, the Buffalo Bills have promoted ex-University of Buffalo wide receiver Naaman Roosevelt from the practice squad to the active roster, according to Chris Brown at buffalobills.com
The wide receiver was seen taking extra punts on Friday, while leads to speculation that Roosevelt may be the primary punt returner, or at least the back up to Leodis McKelvin. The move also suggests that C.J. Spiller will not be ready to be active on Sunday.
In addition to promoting Roosevelt, the Bills also promoted linebacker Thomas Williams from the practice squad. To make room for these moves, the Bills placed two defensive veterans, newcomer Shawne Merriman and Keith Ellison, on the I.R. list.
