Laveranues Coles Rejoins New York Jets—Again—in Time for Patriots Game Monday

With safety Jim Leonhard being placed on injured reserve Saturday with a broken right leg, the Jets are supposedly filling the open roster spot with 32-year-old wide receiver Laveranues Coles. 
The Star-Ledger reported on Saturday that the New York Jets expect to sign the veteran wide receiver Sunday in time for the Monday Night showdown against the New England Patriots.  
If the deal goes through as expected, this would be Coles' fourth stint with the organization after being released by the Jets during the preseason.  
Coles began his career with the Jets in 2000.  He is ranked fourth in Jets history in catches with 459, behind greats such as Don Maynard, Wayne Chrebet and Al Toon.  
Throughout his career Coles has recorded 674 catches for 8,609 yards and 49 touchdowns.  He will add yet another weapon to this already impressive offense, giving the Jets some talented depth at the wide receiver position.
