Jets vs. Dolphins: Can New York Claim a Playoffs Spot?

The New York Jets will host the Miami Dolphins at 4:15 p.m. ET on Sunday.

What’s on the Line: Even after a horrible performance against the New England Patriots on Monday night, the Jets could secure a spot in the playoffs with a win over the Dolphins.

A Miami win will not guarantee the Dolphins a Wild Card spot, but it will definitely keep them in the hunt.

How They Match Up: The Dolphins are No. 4 in both total defense and passing defense in the NFL, and the Jets have been struggling against the pass.

Still, Mark Sanchez has been great at bouncing back from ugly losses so far this season, and he will not have another three-interception game.

Key Players: For the Dolphins, a win at the New Meadowlands will depend upon which Chad Henne shows up, and as for the Jets, look for Braylon Edwards (not Santonio Holmes) to make some big plays late in the game.
