Metrodome Collapse: Three Possible Venues Announced
In a statement released by the NFL three possible venues have been named as replacements for the Vikings-Giants game.
NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said via Twitter this morning, “We were notified this morning by the Metrodome authorities that the dome will not be available for the Giants-Vikings game on Monday or Tuesday. We are currently exploring alternatives to play the game Monday night at the University of Minnesota stadium or another domed NFL stadium. We will continue provide information as it becomes available.”
The domed stadiums that the NFL is reportedly looking at are Ford Field in Detroit or the Superdome in New Orleans.
At the University of Minnesota, snow removal and Fox TV infrastructure would be the hurdles preventing the game from being there.
For Detroit and New Orleans the travel would be the only problem.
This delay is very difficult for the Giants who have a huge game next week agai...
