Metrodome Collapse: The Latest News on Giants vs. Vikings Game

December 12, 2010   ·     ·   Jump to comments

Due to massive snowfall in the Minneapolis area, the roof of the Metrodome collapsed over night.
Because of the snow the game was already postponed until Monday night, but now that the stadium is damaged, it seems more and more unlikely that the game would be played in Minnesota on Monday.
The league is looking into possible replacement venues for the game including the University of Minnesota’s field; however because that stadium is outdoors it sounds like another NFL venue is more likely.
Detroit’s Ford Field has been mentioned and it sounds the most likely place for the game between the Giants and the Vikings.
While all of this plays out the Giants are in Kansas City and Brett Favre is trying to get healthy enough to continue his consecutive starts streak.
