Brett Favre: It Looks Like the Streak is Over, So What Now?

Brett Favre, star quarterback of the Minnesota Vikings, suffered a badly sprained right shoulder in the opening moments of his 297th straight start last week against the Buffalo Bills.
And now, if the latest reports are true, Favre's record-long streak is likely going to come to an end when the Vikings take on the New York Giants at Ford Field.
According to The Epoch Times, Favre sent a text message to NFL Network analyst Steve Mariucci that stated he was "highly unlikely" to play.
While you might not be willing to believe Favre at this point, I think the fact that he has given an answer that definitive after basically saying "I don't know" all week is pretty significant.
In other words, for all intents and purposes, the streak is over.
So my question is: what now?
Well, in my opinion, Favre may as well just go ahead and hang 'em up for the last four games of the season. However, the only real problem with that is that it would leave him open to being sued...
