Colt McCoy: Rookie Quarterback May Get the Start for Cleveland Browns Sunday

Colt McCoy now is reported to be taking most of the first-team snaps in practice today, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
My, how fast things change. Only earlier today I was lamenting how the Browns seemed determined to start Jake Delhomme and lose the Cincinnati game on Sunday.
If McCoy is getting first-team reps, then that means he's going to be the starter unless there's a setback. McCoy gives the Browns the best chance to win. He's more mobile than Delhomme, he's more accurate than Delhomme, and he's just better than Delhomme now.
Delhomme used to be a great quarterback, but age and the psychological beating he took in 2009 have become too much to overcome. It's time for Delhomme to retire, and it's a shame Browns President Mike Holmgren didn't recognize that before the season started.
With McCoy the probable starter now, the Browns offense may come to life, and hopefully that will be the spark that leads the Browns to a 3-0 finish to the season.
