Andre Johnson Out For The Season? The Record Books May Have To Wait

Houston Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson was on pace to set an NFL record with three consecutive seasons of 1,500 or more yards receiving, but a recent MRI may place that dream out of reach.
Johnson sustained an ankle injury in the second game of the season against the Washington Redskins. Pride and determination have kept him playing but common sense may rule supreme in the end.
His MRI, completed earlier this week, revealed that there is additional damage to his previously diagnosed high-ankle sprain. This damage, combined with the sprain, threatens to sideline the superstar wide receiver.
Johnson would need to average 142 yards/game for the final two games of the season to break the 1,500 yard mark this year. 
Assuming Johnson will not start, the Texans are prepared to start wide receiver Jacoby Jones alongside Kevin Walter with rookie Dorin Dickerson assuming the role of third wide-out.
