Gene Smith, general manager for the Jacksonville Jaguars and head coach Jack Del Rio may now publicly be called stupid.
They made the worst decision of their professional lives by not taking Tim Tebow in the first round and instead having Tyson Alualu handling the quarterback duties for them.
Who is that you say?
Exactly!
Tim Tebow may not have gotten to the playoffs this year, and sure, there was a certain amount of risk in taking him on.
But only if you believed the naysayers.
And Tyson Alualu didn't get you to the playoffs, and he sure hasn't packed the stands and created any excitement like Tebow would have. While there was some chance in taking Tebow, there was a far greater risk in not taking him.
For Smith and Del Rio, the worst possible thing is happening to them.
