Peyton Manning: What Happened This Year To the Indianapolis Colts?
Last season the Colts, led by Peyton Manning, made a run through the playoffs to the Super Bowl where they lost to the New Orleans Saints. Now both the Colts and the Saints will be watching the reminder of the playoffs from home after first round exits.
Indianapolis has not looked like the same team at all this season. They have been dealing with injuries on both offense and defense and have had a tough time running the ball nearly all season. The running game was struggling so much that the Colts looked to an old familiar face to help out. They signed former Colt and leading UFL rusher Dominic Rhodes.
The lack of consistency in the running game paired with a revolving door on defense meant a tough year for the Colts. However, it could have been worse. A few weeks ago the Colts were in fear of losing the division to the Jaguars.
