Ben Obomanu Signs Extension with Seattle Seahawks Through 2014

The Seattle Seahawks have signed wide receiver Ben Obomanu to a three-year extension through the 2014 season.
After four quiet seasons, Obomanu finally broke out in his fifth year with the Seahawks.
Obomanu caught 30 passes for 494 yards and four touchdowns, all career highs.
While the receiver was a weakness for the Seahawks, Obomanu was a nice complement to Mike Williams and also showed some promise for the future.
Obomanu proved himself on offense, going from a special teams player to becoming a starting wide receiver alongside Mike Williams.
The Seahawks needed someone to step up this season after the departure of veterans T.J. Houshmandzadeh and Deion Branch, and Obomanu did just that.
Despite dislocating his shoulder in the first quarter against the New Orleans Saints, Obomanu caught five passes for 43 yards in an upset 41-36 victory over the defending Super Bowl Champions.
