Minnesota Vikings Announce Coaching Staff Additions, Bill Musgrave New OC

After weeks of interviews, rumors and more than a bit of speculation, the Minnesota Vikings pulled some important pieces of their new coaching staff together and made an official announcement today.
Bill Musgrave will take over as the team's new offensive coordinator, replacing Darrell Bevell. Musgrave has spent the past five seasons as the quarterbacks coach and assistant head coach for the Atlanta Falcons. His experience as a backup quarterback to Hall of Famers like Joe Montana, John Elway and Steve Young undoubtedly make him knowledgeable at that position. He also helped mold Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan into one of the game's most promising young Pro Bowl QBs. It will be interesting to see not only how he manages the Vikings offense—West Coast system or not—but also how he helps to guide the Vikings' next starting signal caller.
