Thanks, Curtis Martin: A Thank You Letter to a Truly Legendary New York Jet

Dear Curtis,
I miss you, Curt.  When you hung up the spikes back in 2007, many of us were thankful to have witnessed a truly magnificent football career; in fact, I'll say I was privileged to watch you run.  I'd like to thank you for leaving such a tremendous, solid legacy.  You were full of class, Mr. Martin, and I want to thank you for choosing that style. The current Jets squad (and coach) seem to pride themselves on being loud and obnoxious, Curt.  No, that just wasn't you; your approach was basically "play, then talk softly."  Yes, I guess you were very unique.
Thanks, "Curt," for your amazing consistency. You equaled the great Barry Sanders' record of 10 consecutive 1,000 yard seasons from the start of a career; hell, I'll call YOU great, too.
