NFL Hall of Fame 2011: Jerome Bettis Doesn't Get In on His First Try, Will He Get the the Nod in 2012?
Jerome Bettis was a unique combination of power, size and agility.  His NFL career featured three seasons of over 1,400 yards rushing and one Super Bowl ring.
It's difficult to believe he wasn't good enough to be one of the seven men elected into the Pro Football Hall of Fame Saturday.
Perhaps the voters were dwelling on his final two years with the Steelers, when he was a fantasy football asset despite almost never rushing for more than three yards at a time.
Yards didn't matter to the Steelers during the twilight of Bettis' career.
The 22 touchdowns he scored during his final two seasons in the Steel City did.
Although he didn't find paydirt in his first season of Hall of Fame eligibility, the Bus figures to roll in next year or in 2013.
Critics will argue his yards per carry average, which exceed four yards per carry just four times in his 13...
