New England Patriots Extend Safety Josh Barrett

February 26, 2011   ·     ·   Jump to comments

According to multiple reports, the New England Patriots have signed safety Josh Barrett to a two year extension.
Barrett, who might be unknown among New England's fan base, was acquired via waivers last season from the Denver Broncos. Barrett suffered a season ending shoulder injury, and was placed on injured reserve.
The three-year pro out of Arizona State has a lot of upside being so athletic, and could be apart of New England's future plans at the strong safety position.
Expect New England to utilize his skills on special teams next season.
