New England Patriots: Robert Kraft’s Recent Comments on Labor Deal

March 8, 2011   ·     ·   Jump to comments

Monday, New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft spoke out about the NFL labor situation while on a trade mission in Israel with Massachusetts' Governor Deval Patrick.
Kraft expressed his optimism and said he "personally [believes] it's possible" that the league and player's union can come to an agreement before the March 11 deadline.
When asked about being in Israel, Kraft mentioned that he "might" have to leave his trip early if a new labor deal is in the near future.
"I personally believe it's possible...The good news is, it's always good to be talking when you have differences of opinion. It's the only way you have a chance. So we're talking, and I know from ownership's side that we feel there's a deal to be made and we'd very much like to do it."
NFL officials along with player's union represents resumed talks Monday, and share a common goal of completing a new labor deal by the, already ready extended, March 11 deadline.
