2011 NFL Mock Draft: McShay Protects the Bears with a New Offensive Lineman

Derek Sherrod of Mississippi State Could Be Chicago's First Round Pick
The Chicago Bears had way too many problems on the offensive line last season but somehow found a way to win a playoff game (albeit against a Seattle team with a losing record).
They invested so much in Jay Cutler as their starting quarterback that is foolish for them to not protect him effectively.
Chicago has more than a few needs and will have to hit early and often in the draft.
They could go a number of directions with this pick, including at wide receiver or defensive tackle, but I feel the offensive line is too big a need to ignore.
McShay agrees and writes:
"Chicago won't find a solid answer when it comes to upgrading at left offensive tackle or 3-technique on defense, and Sherrod is a bit of a reach here but he is the best available tackle and does offer the versatility to move inside to guard if needed.
