The UFL Is Taking Advantage Of NFL's Lockout Situation By Making Big Moves

The UFL may only have a handful of teams, but if the owners and players can not come to an agreement before training camp opens, the UFL will be front and center as the only professional football on television.

It will be the best opportunity the fledgling league has to advertise and sell its product.

The UFL announced this week Jerry Glanville will be coaching the Hartford Colonials. Glanville coached nine years in the NFL for the Houston Oilers and the Atlanta Falcons.

ESPN reported on the hiring.

"You do what you love," Glanville said in the ESPN report. "The best part of this deal is watching players get better. That's what it's all about. If I was feeling any better, they'd have to send me to jail."

There also has been rumors the UFL will bring in Marty Schottenheimer to coach a team as well.
