NFL Draft Will Allow The Minnesota Vikings To Reload At Key Spots
Obviously the most high profiled vacancy in the NFL is the Vikings quarterback position. Even if they rumor mill has Brett Favre coming back to play for the Carolina Panthers next season, he won't be in the gold and purple next season.
The opening isn't going to Tarvaris Jackson, who probably won't be re-signed under any circumstance.
Since the Vikings are loaded with talent, they need a quarterback  who is ready to lead them now, not a rookie like Blaine Gabbert, Cam Newton, Jake Locker, or Ryan Mallett. (Although, if Mallett and/or Locker are available to them in the beginning of the second round, they should jump on one of the potential future stars). Perhaps they'll look for a replacement like Kevin Kolb, Kerry Collins, or Donovan McNabb.
Either way, new head coach Leslie Frazier would probably like to spend that 12th overall pick on a defensive player. A defensive end is probably not the cho...
