Baylor's Phil Taylor Can Clog Running Lanes In New York Jets Defense After 2011 NFL Draft
The Jets would ideally like to get their hands on a pass rusher but this scenario does not give them that opportunity.
New York has to tie up an enormous amount of loose ends with pending free agents whenever the league year opens and they could essentially lose LaDainian Tomlinson (although they reportedly want him back), Jason Taylor, Antonio Cromartie, as well as Santonio Holmes, Braylon Edwards and Brad Smith.
Of all those players I think, no, I know, that Santonio Holmes is the most important.
Holmes has to be re-signed and I think Cromartie should return as well.
The Jets still have a major hole at the pass rushing linebacker position and they also need someone to take over for Kris Jenkins.
Enter Phil Taylor.
The big man moves extremely well for his size (6'3", 335-pounds) and is the best pure nose tackle in this draft.
