2011 NFL Draft: Is Chimdi Chekwa Being Undervalued?

Carolina Panthers Draft: Carolina will be looking for secondary help:
Ohio State's Chimdi Chekwa is nearly 6' tall, runs the 40-yard dash in 4.38 seconds and has been contributing for one of the nation's best programs for four seasons, as a start for most of that time. So why is it that Chekwa could fall to the third round or lower?
He struggles to discard blockers against the run. He tends to knock balls loose rather than come up with interceptions. And he's not known as a physical player.
With his size and speed, however, Chekwa can be seen as a player with great upside. He has the physical tools. Much of the rest can be taught. Carolina could gain a talented piece for its secondary with the first pick of the third round.
The Panthers need help in their secondary but don't necessarily need starters right now with Richard Marshall and Captain Munnerlyn. But finding a young piece for a backup role or nickelback would be wise.
