2011 NFL Mock Draft Sees Minnesota Vikings Take Defensive End Bowers Instead of a Quarterback
Sam Westmoreland's Pick: We all know the biggest need the Minnesota Vikings have in the 2011 Draft: a quarterback. Tavaris Jackson didn't work out, Brett Favre is off mowing his lawn in Mississippi, and Joe Webb doesn't quite look ready yet. 
But, with more and more reports that the Vikings are looking at trading for Donovan McNabb to fill that signal caller role, look for the Vikings to give their pass rush a boost by picking defensive end Da'Quan Bowers from Clemson. 
Think for a minute about the Vikes' pass rush last season; it was basically Jared Allen and nobody else, right? Well, Bowers immediately makes the defensive line better against both the run and the pass, with his combination of size, strength and surprising athleticism.
