Rahim Moore of UCLA May be Secondary Target for Steelers
Those that want the Steelers to draft a safety rather early on to help out Troy Polamalu, as well as to replace him if he gets injured, fall into two camps. Some want Rahim Moore as the draft option, others want Quinton Carter.
I fall into the Carter group, as I think he embodies what being a Steeler is about more. Nonetheless I will take a look at Moore to see if he can indeed be a great member of the Steelers if drafted.
Moore, a safety out of UCLA, has been known in his college career as a ballhawk. If he's near a ball, he will catch it. He also works much better out of the zone defense as a man defense, allowing for more freedom. Since Polamalu works in a similar way now, Moore would not have too much trouble filling in.
His main weakness is that he need to add some bulk. He can tackle, but if Todd Heap or another tight end gets the ball, they could probably shake off Moore without too much trouble. The St...
