Giants vs. Panthers Saturday Night Preseason: Live Reaction to the Game

Tonight the New York Giants and Carolina Panthers join together in Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina, to begin their 2011 preseasons.
Obviously, even the most neutral of fans will have a vested interest in this game, given that it will be the debut of the NFL draft's first overall pick, Cam Newton.
The ex-Auburn quarterback, who guided the Tigers to the 2010 National Championship, arrives in the professional ranks with high expectations.
Clearly, his play in the first game won't confirm nor deny whether or not he will be a success in the NFL.
That said, it will answer the more short term (and relevant) question of who will be the Panthers starting quarterback on opening day.
For the Giants, the story line has been less about who is on the field and more about who isn't.
