John Skelton: Injury Takes Arizona Cardinals’ QB Situation from Bad to Worse

The Arizona Cardinals have a competitive team, but their QB situation is underwhelming at best. An injury to John Skelton only makes the situation worse. He is currently listed as doubtful for the Cards' Week 2 clash with the New England Patriots, per ESPN.
At best Skelton is a game manager, and that wasn't working in Week 1. When Skelton went down with an ankle injury against the Seattle Seahawks, he was only 14-of-28 for 148 yards and an interception.
Kevin Kolb did come in and lead the team to victory, but Cardinals fans should hold their horses before getting too excited about Kolb's performance.
He did complete 6-of-8 passes for 66 yards and a touchdown, but almost all of this work came in the no-huddle. There is a big difference in executing in this situation and the traditional balance of playing under center with all things considered even.
Kolb is the same guy he's always been, and that is a decent backup quarterback that wilts when he gets the opportunity ...
