Vikings vs. Lions: Instant Grades, Analysis for Detroit

The Detroit Lions are at home in Week 4 to take on the Minnesota Vikings in an NFC North clash that kicks off at 1:00 p.m. EST. The Lions need to play well against this Vikings team that is surprisingly tied for first place in the NFC North with a 2-1 record.
This will be an interesting battle between offenses that should be able to move the ball at will on the opposing defense. The Lions need to get their passing game unhinged and put up some points on a poor Vikings defense. On the other side of the ball, the Lions must limit running back Adrian Peterson and put the game in the hands of second-year quarterback Christian Ponder.
