Matt Cassel Reportedly Expected to Be Released by Kansas City Chiefs

Matt Cassel's days with the Kansas City Chiefs could be numbered, as new head coach Andy Reid continues to look for a solution at quarterback.
According to Mike Garafolo of USA Today, Kansas City may be ready to release Cassel soon:
Meanwhile, a person briefed on the Chiefs' thinking in regard to Matt Cassel said the veteran quarterback has not been offered a pay cut from his slated salary of $7.5 million. The person, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the team hasn't talked about Cassel's contract situation in detail, said it seems Cassel is destined to be released soon.
Cassel joined the Chiefs in 2009 after a stellar 2008 season with the New England Patriots, in which he replaced an injured Tom Brady en route to throwing for 3,693 yards and 21 touchdowns to 11 picks.
