Kansas City Chiefs: Can Jamaal Charles Be the Franchise’s Rushing Leader?

Ever since Jamaal Charles became the primary running back for the Kansas City Chiefs midway through the 2009 season, he's turned into one of the most explosive offensive players in the NFL. With the help of his offensive line, he uses his breakaway speed to blaze through opposing defenses, which has earned him two Pro Bowl appearances.
Charles has already made a big mark as a running back. Despite missing the majority of the 2011 season due to injury, he placed in the top five in rushing yards in 2010 and 2012. His performance in 2010 saw him named the FedEx Ground Player of the Year.
In the 2009 regular season finale against the Denver Broncos, Charles eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark, after starting in only 10 games. He also became the first running back in NFL history to rush for 1,100 or more yards off of 200 or fewer carries.
