In Saturday's East-West Shrine game, the East squad held off the West for a 23-13 win. East quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo sparked the East squad with his crisp passing in this first offseason audition for a career in the NFL.
Overall, the performances of both teams was a bit underwhelming, especially for the quarterbacks. The key for these prospects will be when teams see just enough to open their eyes and send them back to the film.
Being able to showcase their talents in a game like this can lead an NFL franchise to go back and review a prospect's season. There were several players today who did enough to place themselves firmly on the radar of more NFL teams.
