Mark Sanchez Injury: Updates on Jets QB’s Knee and Recovery

Mark Sanchez may be on shaky ground with the New York Jets, but his offseason recovery from surgery is reportedly right on track.
Back in October, Sanchez had shoulder surgery, which wiped out the rest of his season. During his time off the field, he also had arthroscopic knee surgery. That additional surgery hasn't hindered his rehab, per Rich Cimini of ESPNNewYork.com:
Many would argue that the writing was on the wall for Sanchez—even before his injuries—when New York drafted Geno Smith No. 39 overall in 2013. Teams rarely take a quarterback that high in the draft if they are confident in the one already on their roster. With Sanchez missing the entire year, Smith would go on to start all 16 games for the Jets, finishing with an 8-8 record.
Even if his time in New York is over, it's likely the five-year veteran will get another opportunity elsewhere, and it's encouraging that he hasn't hit any snags while rehabbing from surgery.
