Taylor Lewan: Scouting Combine Results and Instant Reaction

INDIANAPOLIS — To watch a 300-plus-pound offensive lineman run the 40-yard dash is not usually considered a thing of beauty, but several offensive linemen stood out with great numbers sprinting down the sideline at Lucas Oil Stadium.
Michigan offensive lineman Taylor Lewan was one of the first players to wow scouts with outstanding numbers at the 2014 scouting combine, finishing the run in 4.87 seconds, the fastest official time among offensive linemen in Indianapolis.
He would have been the fastest a lot of other years, too.
Of course, the 40-yard dash isn't the only workout these players will participate in, so let's take a look at the rest of Lewan's combine numbers and measurements.
His impressive performance at the combine may help overshadow recent reports via Matt Slovin of the Michigan Daily of Lewan's involvement in an alleged rape case involving a teammate; the report indicates Lewan allegedly threatened the victim if she pursued charges.
