A Scout’s Take on Who the Tampa Bay Bucs Might Take in Round 1

I had yet another opportunity to talk with scout Chris Landry on Steve Duemig's radio show on Friday. Chris is one of the very best talent evaluators out there when it comes to the NFL draft.
The Tampa Bay Bucs have the seventh pick of the first round in the 2014 draft. Because the draft is so deep, plus with a number of teams in front of the Bucs looking for quarterbacks, I asked Chris if he thought that either offensive tackle Greg Robinson of Auburn or Jake Matthews of Texas A&M would be there at pick No. 7.
Landry said the Bucs have a number of options.
"Here's the great thing about the Bucs at seven," Landry told me, "They are going to get them one hell of a player. First of all, to Bob's point, I see no way Greg Robinson is there at all. He could go as high as two. But again, if you start doing the numbers, and you can't see this one there and you can't see that one there, somebody is going to have to be there.
