A Scout’s Take on Comparing Ha Ha Clinton-Dix to Calvin Pryor

I once again had an opportunity on Friday to speak with scout Chris Landry on Steve Duemig's radio show. Chris is one the best in the business when it comes to evaluating prospects for the NFL draft.
I wanted to get Landry's opinion comparing Ha Ha Clinton-Dix and Calvin Pryor to each other. Both are considered to be the top two safeties in the 2014 NFL draft.
There is a lot to like about each of them.
Over the past two seasons at Alabama, Clinton-Dix had 88 tackles, seven interceptions and 13 passes defended.
Meanwhile, over his three-year career at Louisville, Pryor had 218 tackles, two sacks, seven interceptions, 18 passes defended, one fumble recovery and nine forced fumbles.
Mike Mayock, who is the draft analyst for the NFL Network, has Pryor rated over Clinton-Dix in his safety position rankings.
