San Francisco 49ers: Why Tank Carradine Is Primed for Big Things in 2014

Cornellius "Tank" Carradine was selected by the San Francisco 49ers with the 40th overall pick in the 2013 draft. He was a first-round talent that slipped to the second round, due to a torn ACL he suffered in November.
Now fully healthy, Carradine will battle Justin Smith and Ray McDonald for playing time at the defensive end position. At a minimum, he will be a valued member of the rotation along the 49ers' defensive front.
Carradine was having a monster season prior to his injury, which occurred in Florida State's last regular season game of 2012. Carradine had 80 tackles, including 47 solo and 11 sacks, according to Rivals.com.
