Aldon Smith Won’t Face Charges for Fake Bomb Threat at LAX

San Francisco 49ers linebacker Aldon Smith will not be charged for an April incident at Los Angeles International Airport when he allegedly made a false bomb threat, the Los Angeles City Attorney's office announced. 
That's clearly good news for Smith, who avoided felony charges from the district attorney's office in April, via Tom Pelissero of USA Today. The case was then passed to the city attorney, who was examining it for "possible misdemeanor consideration" within that same report. 
According to ESPN.com's Bill Williamson, Smith will have a hearing at the end of July to talk about the incident at LAX. 
Despite dodging charges in this case, Smith isn't out of the woods yet. Also according to Williamson, the former All-Pro will be sentenced on July 25 for three felony gun charges stemming from an incident at his house in 2012.
