Cordarrelle Patterson’s Fantasy Reaction After Preseason Performance vs. Chiefs

With his first touchdown reception of the 2014 preseason, Cordarrelle Patterson has fantasy football owners everywhere feverishly jotting his name down on their draft boards.
The Minnesota Vikings wide receiver beat the Kansas City Chiefs secondary over the top for a 53-yard TD reception early in the first quarter on Saturday night. The catch itself wasn't all that special but demonstrated how Patterson's blinding speed will be a huge asset for him this year, per Tom Pelissero of USA Today:
According to ESPN.com, Patterson is the 23rd wideout taken in standard fantasy drafts, with an average draft position of 67.3. Although the second-year star looks poised for a breakout, 23rd seems like the right position for him, at least for now.
In a 12-team league, you probably don't want to reach for Patterson in the third round, but he might be worth the gamble in the fourth. Matt Cassel and Teddy Bridgewater make you question Patterson's fantasy ceiling just a little bit.
