The Minnesota Vikings flashed on offense, defense and special teams in their 30-12 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs Saturday, while the Chiefs' offensive line was so porous that Alex Smith could hardly get anything going. Smith was 14-of-24 for 140 yards, no scores and two picks. He was sacked three times. 
It will be difficult for Mike Zimmer to name Matt Cassel his starting quarterback with 100 percent conviction after rookie Teddy Bridgewater showed veteran polish for the second game in a row. Bridgewater finished the night 4-of-7 for 40 yards and two touchdowns scored on consecutive throws.
Cassel was consistent only in his inconsistency, launching a bomb of a touchdown pass to Cordarrelle Patterson for 53 yards early in the first quarter but then fumbling on a sack for a Chiefs safety and then throwing an interception to Ron Parker.
