The Kansas City Chiefs have locked down defensive end Allen Bailey on a new four-year contract worth a reported $25 million.
The Chiefs announced the deal:
The Kansas City Chiefs announced on Saturday that the team has signed defensive end Allen Bailey to a contract extension. Terms of the contract will not be released by the club.
“We are happy that we were able to reach an agreement to keep Allen in Kansas City,” Chiefs General Manager John Dorsey said. “He has developed into a good football player and a key member of our defense.
NBC Sports' Pro Football Talk reported the early numbers on Bailey's deal:
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network added that $15 million of the deal is guaranteed, including a $10 million signing bonus. The contract runs through the 2018 season.
