Calvin Johnson Closing in on 10,000 Career Receiving Yards

Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson will face the Chicago Bears on Thursday with a chance to become the 43rd player to eclipse 10,000 career receiving yards, per Pro-Football-Reference.com.
Johnson entered Sunday's 34-9 loss to the New England Patriots 152 yards short of the mark and then put together a middling stat line of four catches for 58 yards on 10 targets. The game left him with 9,906 receiving yards, just 94 short of the milestone.
The Lions failed to do much offensively, as they were held out of the end zone for a second straight week, marking the only two times the team hasn't reached pay dirt this season. Quarterback Matthew Stafford completed just 18 of his 46 pass attempts for 264 yards, contributing to Johnson's lack of receiving yards.
