It has come down to this. After 17 weeks covering 16 games and countless hours of work dating back to the offseason, the 2014 NFL regular season comes to an end on Sunday. As sad as it is to think about, it's going out in a blaze of glory. 
There are playoff ramifications everywhere you look. Two teams are still looking to lock down the final spots—one in each conference—and New England is the only playoff team that knows it doesn't have to worry about a game next week. 
With so much at stake, every game takes on an added sense of urgency and importance. Instead of going gently into that good night, the NFL will leave everyone with a rush of adrenaline that should carry over to the playoffs.
