Marcus Mariota Will Throw at NFL Combine: Latest Details, Comments and Reaction

Perhaps sensing he's starting to slip behind Florida State's Jameis Winston in the race to become the No. 1 overall pick in the 2015 NFL draft, former Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota has informed NFL teams he will throw at this week's scouting combine.
ESPN's Chris Mortensen had the news:
Winston will also reportedly throw at the combine, per Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network. 
Widely viewed as the best player in college football and favorite to go No. 1 in April 30's draft throughout the 2014 season, Mariota has seen his stock slip in recent weeks.
ESPN's Todd McShay and Mel Kiper had him going sixth to the New York Jets in their latest mock drafts. Each of CBS Sports' three mock drafters (Rob Rang, Dane Brugler, Pat Kirwan) also had Winston going ahead of Mariota, continuing a wave of consensus that's slowly washing over the process.
