Linebacker Sean Weatherspoon has been a key part of the Atlanta Falcons' defense when healthy since 2010, but all signs point toward the 27-year-old star continuing his NFL career elsewhere.

Weatherspoon Not Expected Back with Falcons Saturday, March 7 Weatherspoon missed the entire 2014 season with a torn Achilles, and it was quite clear that Atlanta's defense struggled without him on the field.
There were high hopes for the former Mizzou standout to return in 2015 and make an impact, but NFL Network's Ian Rapoport is reporting that the chances of Weatherspoon returning to the Falcons are slim:
Mike Jurecki of Fox Sports 910 reported the Cardinals will pursue Weatherspoon in free agency. Rand Getlin of Yahoo Sports indicated Weatherspoon is leaning towards signing with Arizona.
Weatherspoon has often shown signs of becoming an elite linebacker, especially in 2011 when he racked up 115 tackles and four sacks.
