Trey Watts Suspended for Violating NFL’s Substance Abuse Policy

St. Louis Rams running back Trey Watts was suspended for the first four games of the 2015 season for a violation of the NFL’s substance abuse policy, per Myles Simmons of StLouisRams.com.
Watts tallied only seven carries for 30 yards last season and didn't figure to be a primary player in the St. Louis offense in 2015. This latest setback makes it even less likely Rams fans will see the Tulsa product on the field for meaningful snaps.
The Rams backfield is more crowded after they drafted Georgia superstar Todd Gurley with the 10th overall pick of the 2015 NFL draft. He joins Tre Mason, who tallied 765 rushing yards last season and took some carries away from Zac Stacy, who has since been traded to the New York Jets.
