Philadelphia Eagles Player Spotlight: DB Quintin Demps

The Philadelphia Eagles selected UTEP product FS Quinitin Demps in the fourth round (117th overall) in the 2008 NFL Draft.
At that time, draft experts raved about his ball hawking abilities, speed, and athleticism. Demps was breaking school and college records, such as total yards gained on INT returns (404 yards), which blew away the previous record of 256 yards by Richie Wright from 1986-88.
He also ranked second in Texas-El Paso's history for INT's, ending his college career with 17.
Since being drafted by the Eagles, Quintin hasn't translated his college skills over to the NFL as a safety. But his return skills are phenomenal and he has also been a warrior on special teams.
In his rookie debut, Demps ended the season with 1,314 return yards, which ranks second on the teams total return yards in a single season record, sitting behind only Allen Rossum who had 1,347 return yards in 1999.
